Most Executives are Job Fishers Not Job Hunters
Are you hunting for your next executive job with a fishing pole or a rifle? Job fishers are relaxed laid-back people who cast their resume and wait for a nibble. They must be patient because it may be weeks or even months before they get a single bite! Job Hunters adjust their sites and proactively go out everyday in search of food; they are hungry and there is no time to wait around for their next meal. Which are you?

don´t sit on your butt, and wait.
Refine your resume, participate in any thing you can.
Don´t be static, try to communicate as a Human, not an extension of your PC, or Mac.
The persons you are writing to are Humans like you!
Give your cover letter a face.
Admit that there is Age discrimination and deal with it.
You are not competing with any young 35 year olds, not at all!
Don´t lie, pretend, or use language picked up at the net which is not really yours!
Do your home work, research your target company into the smallest detail.
Write some white papers and publish them.
Don´t ask for a job but create one.
After researching this company you like so very, very much, you will find a week spot in their organization, sure enough.
Than work with precision on a plan how to fill in the GAB whitout giving away to much info.
Don´t bother with HR departments at all.
After all, what does a 30 year young person with a college education and no knowledge about Super experienced Senior managers and worse, selection criteria as a rigid guideline to filter you OUT.
Get straight to the board or directors with real decision power.
Have you dreamt about your own company ever?
Have any idea about a "Niche"?
START it, make a business plan, set out a strategy, do your marketing, get into the nity grities, be sound, solid.
Invest a lot of time into research know your competition and so on.....
Than if every thing is perfect, clear & transparent you step into the board room you desire to enrich in any way possible and set up a Joint venture or project partnering plan.
OR if you are Really good, they will buy you in and offer you a chair.
